“Pinky swear?” Chad said facing Jake with his pinky point at him.

“Pinky swear.” Jake replied as they locked pinkies.

“That’s fine Chad; you can continue eating before it gets cold.” Bee interrupted.

“Okay mummy.” Chad responded.

“Home now?” I asked.

“Yeah; decided to ring you to inform you that I’ve arrived.” Jake answered.

“I hope the trip wasn’t stressful.”

“No it wasn’t.”

“I’m glad you decided to surprise me by coming over.”

“I’m glad I came too. What are you up to?”

“Travis and I are going for a walk. Says he wants to see the neighborhood.”

“Oh, enjoy. Beep me when you’re free and my regards to him. Later”

“Bye” I replied and hung up.

“Sorry about that” I apologized.

“It’s fine” Travis said and continued, “this place hasn’t changed one bit.”

“What were you expecting?” I asked.

“I don’t know, you tell me.” He answered.

“I have no idea what you expected. Although some folks have moved; that’s about the only thing that has changed.” I said.

“That’s fair. When do you think the wedding will take place?” He asked.

“I don’t know. We haven’t talked about that; we’ll discuss that during the week.” I replied.

“Okay, just keep me posted.”

“Sure. Plan to attend?”

“That wouldn’t be a bad idea.”

“Yeah sure. You could bring her along.” I teased.

‘tsk’ his tongue clapped.

“For real though.” I teased further.

“Okay. We should head back home.” He suggested.

“Why? You got plans?” I asked.

“Yeah. Wanna freshen up so that I could travel back today.” He responded.

“I’m not sure that would be possible.”

“And why is that?”

“Pop and Bee won’t let you travel today. They would say it’s late and convince you to sleep over.”
