It was so good to be home.
Dianne’s driver had dropped me off at home.
When I alighted and bade them farewell, I stood for some seconds to take in the air. As I bent to pick up my luggage, Bee came out of the house. Home sweet home
“Wow! Look who’s here! Luke come and see!” Bee shouted out of excitement and surprise.
Hmmm… Luke… I haven’t heard anyone call Pop by that name in a long time. She is already calling him Luke… There is something I don’t know…
“Pumpkin!!!” Pop called out and interrupted my thoughts.
“Pop!!!” I shouted as I abandoned my luggage and ran into his embrace.
He looked pretty fine to me…
“How was your trip?” Pop asked.
“It was fine. Dianne says hi” I answered.
“That adventurous roommate of yours.” Pop said and continued, “Why didn’t you call me to come pick you up?”
“I wanted to give you a surprise.” I replied.
“Oh! Well, we’re surprised.” Pop said.

“I am glad you were, Pop.” I replied and continued, “You don’t look bad.”
Pop smiled and said, “All thanks to God and Bee here.”
Bee…
“That’s good.” I replied coyly.
I have got to find out what happened…
