In The Hollow Of His Hand
“My chauffeur is on his way; he should be here any minute…” She answered.
There was a tap on the door.
“…that should be him.” She said.
“All set, Pop.” I said.
“Finally.” He replied.
“Morning sir.” The chauffeur greeted.
“Morning sir.” Pop replied.
“Set to go, Ma’am?” He asked.
“Definitely.” Dianne replied.
The chauffeur picked her luggage and rolled it out. We all exited the room and handed over the room keys to the hall governess before heading to the parking lot.
“I’ll miss you.” She said to me and hugged me.
“Me too. We will talk all day; besides the break is just for a month.” I replied.
“Yeah right.” She said.
“Take care of you. Let me know when you arrive.” I said.
“You too.” She responded.
“My regards to your parents.” Pop said.
“They’ll hear sir. Have a safe trip.” She replied.
“Thank you sweetie. You too.” Pop said.
