“How are you doing sweetie?” He asked.
“I am fine Pop and you?” I responded.
“I’m good. How’s Dianne, church and studies?” He asked.
“All good Pop and work? I responded.
“God has been faithful.” He answered.
“So what’s the news you and Bee wanna share with me?” I asked.
“What are you talking about?” Pop asked.
He was simply pretending to be oblivious of that information.
“Quit the pretense, Pop. Bella told me that you have something to tell me.” I said.
“Well then she is in the best position to tell you what she says we have to tell you.” He responded.
“Pop??!!! I called out.
“Pumpkin??!!! I have got to go. My snack is getting cold. How about we talk some other time?” He said.
“Okay Pop.” I answered and hung up disappointed.
What could it be that they have to tell me?
