In The Hollow Of His Hand
What have I Done?
I became confused.
“How do you mean?” I asked.
“I will only answer that question when you tell me whom you were talking to.” She replied.
“You are still at that.” I blurted out.
“Of course I am.” She answered.
“Why won’t you let it go?” I asked.
“Cos I care about you.” She replied.
“I said it was a friend.” I said.
“It wouldn’t be your enemy.” She responded.
“Okay, you win. I give up. That was Jake.” I said.
“Which Jake?” she asked.
“How many do you know?” I replied.
“My brother?” she asked.
“Yes, that Jake.” I replied.
“Oh! Okay.” She said.
She was mum and I observed that she was holding back a piece of information but I wasn’t ready to cajole her into spilling them.
“So, did I do or say anything whilst sleeping?” I asked.
“No you didn’t. You smiled briefly at intervals.” She replied.
“Okay, what time is it? We should attend for Bible Study.” I said.
“Then we have an hour to prepare for Bible Study.” She responded.
