I decided to chat Bella up.
“Holla.” I began.
About four minutes later, she replied.
“Hi Charis.
“How are you doing?” I asked.
“I am good and you?” She answered.
“I am good too. You busy?” I asked.
“Nope.” She answered.
“Okay, let me call you on Skype.” I said.
Within ten seconds, the call connected.
“Hello” I began.
“Hi” she responded.
“You didn’t miss me, right?” I asked.
“That’s not true. You know I miss you.” She replied acting all persuasive.
“Then, why haven’t you called or sent me a message since I resumed? It’s been over two months.” I asked.
“I am sorry. It is simply because I do not know your schedule or itinerary. Can you forgive me?” She asked.
“Forgiven” I answered.
“Talk to me; what have you been up to? What’s new?” She asked.
“Well… I have a new friend…” I began.
“A friend or a friend?” She asked.
“What is the difference?” I responded pretending not to understand what she meant.
“I mean just a friend or someone you are crushing on.” She said.
“Oh. He is just a friend for now but he’s nice… really nice.” I answered.
“Alright. I got you the first time” She replied.
The conversation was beginning to sound awkward.
“How is Pop?” I asked in a bid to change the topic.
“He is fine. We have some news…
