When it was quarter past seven in the evening, there was a tap on the door.

“Pumpkin!!!” Pop called out.

“Yes Pop.” I responded.

“Someone is at the door, please get it. That should be Aunt K.” Pop said.

“Alright Pop.” I replied.

When I opened the door, I discovered that she wasn’t alone.

“Good evening Aunt.” I said as I gave her hug.

“Evening dear, meet Derrick.” She responded and introduced us.

“Pleased to meet you; come in please.” I said as we shook hands.

After Pop and Derrick exchanged pleasantries, Aunt K beckoned on me to accompany her to the kitchen while we left the men in the sitting room. I observed that Pop and Derrick exchanged pleasantries like they had met before-question for another day.

Minutes later, Bee, Chelsea and Chad arrived. Bee wondered why we had guests in the house. Pop told her that it had been a while since we had Aunt K around, so he decided to host her. He tried as much as possible to sound convincing too. The children were busy seeing ‘PJ Masks‘ on my iPad and Bee joined us in the kitchen.

While we were in the kitchen, there was a knock on the door. I wondered who it was as Pop and I were only expecting Aunt K and her plus one.

Curiosity made me answer the door. Well, I wasn’t expecting who it was…
