We talked lightly over lunch. It was so intriguing that I didn’t want it to end. Jake was a good company.

“It was nice to meet you Jake” Pete said.

“Same here Pete” Jake replied and continued, “Dianne has told me a lot about you.”

“A lot… nice things I presume.” Pete asked.

“Of course. We should have a conversation over a bottle of wine before I leave.” Jake stated.

“I look forward to that. When are you leaving?” Pete asked.

“At dawn of the morrow.” Jake replied.

“So we have only a few hours… How about we have that discussion after we see the ladies off to their rooms?” Pete asked.

“That is fine by me.” Jake replied.

“I would skip the talks about asking you to tell me about yourself and ask what your plans for my sister are.” Jake said.

“Well… I see her in my future; first, as my wife and secondly, as the mother of my children. I see her as my partner in building a dynasty.” Pete replied.

“If I am to understand you correctly, you are not just around her for the meantime, right?” Jake asked.

“You are very correct.” Pete answered.

Jake opened the bottle of Casa Dorada wine and poured its content into two glass cups.

“Cheers to you, my future brother-in-law…” Jake said as he raised his glass of wine.

“Cheers.” Pete replied as he also raised his glass with a smile.

“I just needed to be sure about your plans for her because she has never spoken to me about a guy as much as she told me about you.” Jake said.

“I understand. I would do same for my sister.” Pete agreed.

“Now that that is out of the way; I would like us to talk about Charis…” Jake said.

“Charis? What about Charis?” Pete asked with surprise written all over his face.

“What do you know about her?” Jake asked.

“Well, I don’t know much about her but I know she is very reserved. Dianne is the perfect person to tell you more about her.” Pete answered.

“Oh I see. Thanks man. Let’s head to their room before Dianne begins to think the worst.” Jake suggested.

“You are right cos Dianne worries a lot.” Pete replied.
