I informed Pop about my mid-semester trip and he was not hesitant to allow me travel. Probably, he had come to realize that I had become a big girl or Bee’s charm was at work. Whichever way, I was excitedly looking forward to my first trip since I had been with Pop all my life.
That morning, as early as half past five, I had awoken and gotten dressed. My backpack had been set days ago. I gladly woke Dianne up.
“Arise and shine!” I shouted into her ears.
“Oh no! Not again!” She said as she jerked from her sleep.
“Get up and get set; let’s set out.” I replied.
“The chauffeur won’t arrive until nine. I still have about three hours to sleep.” She said as she looked at her small table clock.
“Alright…” I replied as I sat on my bed to daydream…
