Dinner was ready. I couldn’t get myself to figure out how he got here and whom he had informed of his coming. Well, I’d figure that out after dinner.
Aunt K and I set the dining table.
“How is your dad, Travis?” Pop asked.
“He is good; he sent his warm regards?” he answered.
“I miss having you guys around.” Pop said.
“The feeling is mutual.” He responded.
“So how has school been, Travis?” Pop asked.
“School’s been great, Pop.” He replied.
“Good to know; and your girlfriend?” Pop asked.
“Pop??!!” I interrupted.
“Uhmmm… she’s fine Pop.” he answered.
“What a shame…” Pop blurted out.
“Yeah, I know right.” Aunt K agreed.
“What are you two on about?” Bee asked.
“Well, these two used to be inseparable.” Pop answered.
“You don’t mean it.” Bee responded and asked, “What happened? As in, what changed?”
