In The Hollow Of His Hand
Episode 64
She got into the kitchen just in time to bring them out.
“They’re not bad.” I said as I observed them.
“I am sorry. I wanted to make homemade shawarma for you since I know it’s your favourite.” She said.
“No worries. It is fine. That’s thoughtful of you.” I said.
I took them, put them in a tray and placed the tray on the dining table.
“Who wants a piece of shawarma?!” I called out and giggled.
Chad and Chelsea abandoned the cartoon they were watching and ran to meet me.
“I! I!!” they both screamed in unison.
“Your favourite?” I asked them after giving them a piece each.
“Huhn!” They nodded as they had their mouths full and went back to the sofa.
I took a piece and joined them on the sofa.

After spending enough time with them, I went upstairs into my room to unpack my stuffs. I didn’t need to arrange the room since it looked like it had been recently arranged. That should be Bee’s handwork. When I was done unpacking, I lay in bed to rest for a while.
Before I dozed off, I called Jake on Skype.
“Hello sweetheart.” He said.
“Good evening love.” I greeted.
“Evening sweetie. How are you doing?” He asked.
“I am good and you?” I answered and asked.
“I am good too. How was your trip? Hope it wasn’t exhausting.” He asked.
“It was fine; not really exhausting.” I answered.
“That’s better. I have been expecting your call all day.” He said.
